“During the pandemic shutdown, I found myself out of work and looking for a creative outlet. That’s when I stumbled upon crafting—and quickly realized how much fun it was! As a hairstylist, I wanted to combine my love for creativity with my passion for making things, so I decided to start selling at events and creating unique pieces. The name “Ruth the Crafty Stylist” is a fun play on words, blending my hairstyling background with my newfound crafting hobby. It’s been such a rewarding journey, and I truly love when people appreciate and support my work. Running this small business has become a source of joy for me, and I’m grateful for everyone who’s been a part of it!  ”

Gracie Walters

“My name is Gracie Walters and I'm an amateur potter and fiber artist. I learned how to throw on the wheel in high school, but I lost touch with the art when I started college. I'm just getting back into it this year and building up my business. I mostly sell functional pieces, earrings, ornaments, and necklace pendants. My most popular items are narrow neck vases, incense trays, jewelry, and mugs. I also weave on a rigid heddle loom, and I make welt-felted products (e.g. cuffs, bookmarks) using merino wool”
