Sam Salutes 

Sam salutes our heroes—we're celebrating veterans all month long! In honor of veterans and their service, our Boston Brewery and Downtown Taproom will be releasing a specialty brew. Sam Salutes is a dry-hopped American lager that’s crisp and easy-drinking. Brewed with Citra and Simcoe hops from the West Coast, it has a refreshing burst of citrus that’s complemented by a delicate sweetness from the malt to make a simple, dependable lager. 

To show our support, we’ll be donating to our friends at New England Center and Home for Veterans in Boston, whose mission is to equip veterans who are facing or at-risk of homelessness with the tools for economic self-sufficiency and to provide them a path to achieve successful and dignified independent living. A service and care provider for former military service men and women, the NECHV offers a broad array of programs and services that enable success, reintegration, meaningful employment and independent living. 

And we’re inviting drinkers to get involved too! Let a bartender at one of our locations know that you’d like to buy a vet a pint of Sam Salutes and they’ll provide personalized cards to fill out! Veterans who show their Military ID will be able to redeem this card at the bar for a Sam Salutes brew (limit 1 per person). Throughout the month, we’ll also have New Year’s cards for folks to fill out that will be sent out to vets to make their holiday a bit brighter. Write a custom message to show your appreciation for their sacrifice and our partners at NECHV will be sending them out to various military bases.

BOSTON BREWERY: On November 9th, enjoy food from a veteran-owned business at the brewery! Code 1 BBQ – veteran-owned, women-run, family business—will be popping up and serving delicious, hearty comfort food in celebration of the holiday weekend. 

DOWNTOWN BOSTON TAPROOM: On Thursday, November 7th, we’re bringing back our popular Comedy On Draft show with a Veterans theme. We’ll be featuring comedians who themselves are Vets or have family connections to Veterans in our Beer Hall for a show you don’t want to miss featuring comedians Graig Murphy, Kristy Kielbasinski, Dan Crohn and more!
