Raise a stein to Octoberfest!

 

We’re honoring the centuries-long tradition with our annual Octoberfest Celebration! Originally held in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of the Crown Price of Bavaria, Oktoberfest has become a 16-day festival in Germany centered around marzen-style beers. These lagers were traditionally brewed in March, lagered (or stored) in caves to keep cool through the summer, and then drank come fall. Marzens were the style of choice at the first Oktoberfest, sparking brewing inspiration for years after. 

With fall is upon us, that only means one thing, IT’S BEER SEASON! Our annual Octoberfest celebration of classic beers with our own traditional and innovative brews in Boston will be taking place the weekend of September 22nd to 24th. The Boston Brewery will be kicking off the weekend with a VIP Octoberfest Beer Dinner in the Bier Keller.

While both locations will be featuring different entertainment lineups, we’re excited to share our featured fest-style brews that we’ll be debuting: 

FESTBIER / 5% ABV  

Brewed in the tradition of a modern Munich festbier, this refreshing yet hearty pale lager uses heirloom pilsner and Munich malts as well as a famous German monastery’s lager yeast to create a clean, malty beer worthy of celebration. 

WHEELHAUS DUNKEL / 5.5% ABV  

Made in partnership with our friends at Eastern Standard Provisions, this Dunkel uses their pretzels to pump up the bready notes to this lager and salt to add some contrast that brightens the beer up. Best paired with pretzels, this brew is the ideal Octoberfest beer!

Tickets $10 pre-sale / $15 at the door 

  • Ticket includes a pint of Octoberfest and party swag. Souvenir plastic stein for pre-sale ticketholders. 

Friday 9/22: 5-9pm 

Saturday 9/23: 11am-6pm (open until 9, but ticketed until 6; closed for tours) 

  • Experience traditional German lagers through interactive exhibits and tastings 

Sunday 9/24: 11am – 6pm (open until 8, but ticketed until 6)
