2024 Boston Brewery Can Releases
Over the course of 2023, our brewers brought you 51 unique canned beers: some brand-new, some fan favorites, some that commemorated special moments and some that carried us throughout the year. We played with fruits and barrels. We brewed the simplest, cleanest lagers we could craft.
As we look ahead to 2024, we’re reflecting on all of your favorites, while imagining what new beers could be possible. Here’s a sneak peek at what we’ve got brewing for 2024. This isn’t all encompassing but covers a few moments that have us feeling particularly thirsty.
Our 02130 Series pays tribute to the neighborhood we’ve called home since the start, and a neighborhood that has a long history of brewing dating back to the 1800s with Haffenreffer Brewing Company. Today we recognize Jamaica Plain through a lineup of hoppy beers that highlight the landmarks around us. Jamaicaway IPA, our house hazy, will be a staple in 2024, supported by guest appearances of Arborway DIPA, Stony Brook Session IPA, and Pinebank Pale Ale.
Our out-of-this-wild fruited gose series is here to stay! Kosmic Crafted tapers some of the intensity of our house sour ale, Kosmic Mother Funk, by blending KMF into these sessionable beers. Favorites like Blackberry Raspberry Gose will release along with new creations like Strawberry Kiwi Gose.
Future is FemAle
This International Women’s Day we’re raising a pint to women in the beer industry with our next iteration of Future is FemAle. Along with breweries all around the world, we participate in the Pink Boots Society Collaboration Brew Day, with 2024 marking our seventh annual brew. We’ve brewed Belgian IPAs, quince wild ales, and saisons. Be on
the lookout for something big and bold this year!
Grand Slam Adams
Grand Slam Adams returns for baseball season! This Kolsch-style ale is a brilliant straw color from light malts that give it notes of cereal and fresh-baked bread, which are balanced out by an earthiness from Noble hops. In our humble opinion, Grand Slam Adams is a home run!
Our award-winning, milkshake IPA series will welcome in summer here in Boston. Inspired by the pandemic, Vacation Sam was brewed to give folks a sense of escape after being cooped up at home for so long. Mango Guava IPA, a local favorite, will lead this line of fruited milkshake IPAs
bursting into the cooler starting in June.
Beer Garden Series
Fall in Boston is hard to beat. We’re fully convinced it’s the best time of year for Beer Garden beers, so we dedicated a line of true-to-tradition German lagers just for these moments. Come September, expect the return of our Festbier, Dunkel, and Hefeweizen for prime autumn sipping.
Throwbacks
And finally, 2024 marks 40 years of craft here at Samuel Adams. We’re celebrating our history and commemorating this anniversary through the quarterly release of a throwback beer. From retired seasonals to revered holiday specials we’ll be pulling recipes out of the vault and brewing them into cans here at our Boston Brewery.
These are just a portion of our 2024 can release plans, but we look forward to cracking one with you in the new year! Keep an eye out for updates as we continue to finalize our brew schedule for the new year.
