JP Porchfest & our celebratory beer Porch(fest) Rocker are Back!

August in the City can only mean one thing: it’s Porchfest Season!

We’re incredibly proud to once again partner with Dunamis Boston to present JP Porchfest, the annual celebration of the arts in our neighborhood of Jamaica Plain. Dunamis is a nonprofit organization focused on creating space for creatives of color and building a community of professionally competent emerging artists and arts-managers.

JP Porchfest has been rocking in the streets of Jamaica Plain since 2014 and is completely community-run. The one-day festival features a variety of artistic performances covering expansive genres and takes place on porches, green spaces, and community hubs within the neighborhood.

At the Brewery, we’ll once again transform our world-class Beer Garden into one large ‘porch’ for the festival, and feature several local musical acts throughout one jam-packed, music-filled day. We’ll be featuring food and draft specials to pair with the killer lineup of artists:

1 PM - Prophet PM

2 PM - Tre

3 PM - Black People Know Things Trivia

4 PM - The Foes of Fern

5 PM - Extrano Flamenco

To intensify the electric energy of the day, we’ll once again be releasing our commemorative brew Porch(fest) Rocker on draft, in exclusive cans featuring the artwork of Felipe Álvarez de Toledo, and even churning it up in slushie form to celebrate. Porch(fest) Rocker is a gose-style aged on raspberries and lemon, with a light, slightly-tart finish perfect for enjoying live music on a sunny August day in JP. We’re constantly awed by the creativity, vibrancy, and diversity of our community, and we’re proud to be making a brew inspired by just that.

JP Porchfest is taking place in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston on Saturday, August 24th from 12pm-6pm and is free to attend. See you on the ‘porch’!
