Sam Salutes

Sam salutes our heroes--we're celebrating veterans all month long! We’ll be continuing our support for New England Center and Home for Veterans in Boston, whose mission is to equip veterans who are facing or at-risk of homelessness with the tools for economic self-sufficiency and to provide them a path to achieve successful and dignified independent living. A service and care provider for former military service men and women, the NECHV offers a broad array of programs and services that enable success, reintegration, meaningful employment and independent living. 

Throughout the month we’ll be inviting our drinkers to write New Year's cards for NECHV vets to make their holiday a bit brighter. Write a custom message to show your appreciation for their sacrifice on-site at our locations and drop them off in our postcard drop box.  

Looking for additional ways to donate to NECHV? Upgrade your pint pour for $1 and keep the glass! We'll match the glass purchase as part of our donation to their organization.

BOSTON BREWERY: On Veterans Day, enjoy a special food feature from our neighbor and veteran-owned business, Ula Café. Ula will be crafting handpies with Jamaican Beef & Onion Patties, as well as Vegan Golden Chickpea Patties.  

DOWNTOWN BOSTON TAPROOM: On Thursday the 9th, join us for our Comedy On Draft show featuring an all veteran comedian lineup! J ay Whittaker - ARMY, Jody Sloane - COAST GUARD, Dave Decker - ARMY, Steve Scarfo - ARMY and two other comics stop by for 90 minutes of laughs in our beer hall! Doors at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Our OG host, Jimmy Dunn, is back and will kick things off for us for a killer show! Get tickets here.
