The Future is FemAle

At Sam Adams, we celebrate International Women’s Day by raising a pint to women in the beer industry. Along with breweries all around the US, we participate in the Pink Boots Society Collaboration Brew Day, with 2024 marking our seventh annual brew.

A champion within the alcohol industry, the Pink Boots Society’s mission is to “assist, inspire, and encourage the professional development and education of women and non-binary individuals.” They do this through funding scholarships, sharing resources, and cultivating relationships.

For 2024, while we’ve continued to name our Pink Boots Brew The Future Is FemAle, our newest iteration is a fierce imperial stout that’s strong and rich, bucking all traditional drinking stereotypes. This imperial stout is crafted with maple syrup, saffron sugar, and Lunar Chai tea sourced from some incredible Massachusetts-based, female-owned businesses alongside the use of the 2024 Pink Boots Society hop blend from Yakima Chief HopsWe’re proud to highlight these unique ingredients from Curio Spice Co. in Cambridge, Justamere Tree Farm in Worthington, and Valley Malt in Holyoke.

Our team had a great opportunity to head out to Western MA and visit with the lovely folks of the Justamere Tree Farm who spent time walking around the farm with us and explaining all aspects of maple collection, processing and, most importantly, the end product! You cannot miss out on their Very Dark Maple Syrup! We then headed over to Holyoke to visit with Andrea from Valley Malt who showed us her operations not only in malting grain for both beer and spirits but also their flour production!

Join us for the release parties at both of our Boston locations on International Women's Day, March 8th! The Future is FemAle will be available on draft and in cans, with a portion of the proceeds donated back to the Pink Boots Society.
